Product Care & Maintenance -
Toolbox Care & Maintenance
It is a lot easier than you think to clean, care and maintain your SYAM toolbox. Understanding what and how your toolbox is there for, and how it operates will certainly assist you in caring for it correctly.
Firstly, try to keep your unit free from dust, wiping it down with a soft (preferably microfibre) cloth. Secondly, from time to time, wet wipe (with soapy dish washing water) your unit, again, with a soft cloth. Rinse off the soapy residue by using a plain clean cloth that has been rinsed in water only. Thirdly, ensure to dry thoroughly. Then finally, periodically spray your drawer slider roller bearings and wheel caster bearings with a good quality lubricant such as Q20.
Make it "Good Practice" to open one drawer at a time. NEVER open all drawers at the same time.
Don't Stand on the Drawers
Do not step on the drawer -
even if you think you are light and the tool chest is loaded.
Keep Your Work Space Controlled
Do not let children near the tool chest. Keep your area as controlled as possible.
Pack from the Top Down
When packing the tool chest, do not start from the bottom -
it might fall over. Rather, start from the top downwards.
Lock Casters when not Moving
Set the brake on the locking casters -
in the front -
unless you are moving the tool chest.
Lock Drawers and Lid
Before moving the mobile chest unit, lock the drawers and lid. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
Always reference your Operator Manual to ensure that the correct procedures for operating and maintenance are followed.
